Earth Dreaming

Pebble and stone mandala for Appledore Visual Arts Festival‚ 2008. Dia. 3 metres.

This is exquisitely beautiful.

Wow.

These kinds of circular mandalas (I guess that’s what this is?) have such a calming and centering effect when you merely gaze at them – I can’t imagine how much more powerful it must be when you’re right there in the moment‚ creating them‚ one stone‚ one pebble at a time.

The impact of creating something like this in public spreads outwards from everyone who visited this place‚ participated in your project‚ and shared their experience with others.

Rather like dropping a pebble in water‚ creating circles moving outwards…

Good stuff.  Reggie at http://namibsands.wordpress.com
